Guide to connect your NowPayments account

NOWPayments is a cryptocurrency payment gateway that allows businesses to accept payments in more than 100 different cryptocurrencies (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, among others) in a simple and secure way.

By integrating the NOWPayments payment gateway with LobbyPMS, you will be able to offer your guests the option to make payments using various cryptocurrencies.

How do cryptocurrency payments work?

The payment flow is simple:

1. The customer selects to pay with NOWpayments
2. NOWPayments generates the payment information (amount, wallet address, currency)
3. The customer makes the transaction from their wallet
4. The platform processes the payment and, if necessary, performs the automatic conversion
5. The funds are sent directly to the merchant's wallet configured in NOWpayments

Set up your NOWpayments account in LobbyPMS

How to copy the API KEY from your NOWpayments account?

To obtain and copy the private key from your NOWpayments account, go to the section:

Settings > Payments within the platform

There you will find several options. Click on API KEYS -> Add new API key

Then copy the API key and click on “Save”. This key will be used later to connect with LobbyPMS.
 

How to copy the IPN Key from your NOWpayments account?

It is also necessary to activate the IPN Key. This is done in the section of Instant Payment Notifications

Once activated, copy the code that appears on the screen.

⚠️ It is important not to close the window before copying the code, as you will not be able to retrieve it easily.

⚠️ Important note

It is essential that you configure your payment wallet as part of the setup process of your NOWpayments account before attempting to obtain the keys.

Add API and IPN KEYS in your LobbyPMS account

1. Go to the menu Settings > Payment Gateways
2. Make sure the option Connect an online payment system is active

It is possible that to activate this option the system will ask you to activate a default payment method for the booking engine. If you do not know how to do it, visit this manual:

3. Click on the add icon in the NowPayments option
   
4. You must paste the API Key and IPN Key obtained in your NOWpayments account
   
   

To finish, Choose how to associate to a payment method, you can also leave the default option. Then click on “Save changes”

Activate NOWpayments for the booking engine

1. Go to the menu Settings > Booking Engine > Confirmation and payments

Make sure the option Connect an online payment system is active

2. Select the preferred payment method for your reservations:“First night payment” or “Percentage of total reservation”
   
   
3. Activate NOWpayments and click on Save changes
   
   

You can access the booking engine and perform a test reservation to verify that the NOWpayments button is active when completing the reservation.
