This manual explains how to connect your Azul account with LobbyPMS to enable online payments within your operation.

Through this integration you will be able to:

● Send payment links to your guests
● Receive payments directly from the booking engine
● Centralize payment management within LobbyPMS

👉 This integration is only viable if you have a legal entity in the Dominican Republic.
 

What is Azul?

It is a payment gateway widely used in the Dominican Republic, operated by the Banco Popular Dominicano ecosystem, allowing businesses to accept credit and debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.)

It is the ideal solution for hotels, hostels, and vacation rentals operating within Dominican territory and that have a local bank account.

Set up your Azul account

Before starting, if you do not have an Azul account, you can follow these initial steps:

1. Initial request:

Go to “Become a client” on Azul’s main page and complete the application form from the app or interface.

2. Approval and activation

Once approved:

● Azul creates your merchant account
● They enable access to the administrative portal
● They provide integration credentials (API)

How to obtain integration data?

To connect Azul with LobbyPMS you will need the following data:

● Merchant ID: It is the unique number that identifies your business within Azul.
● Private Key: It is an encrypted key that guarantees communication between both systems is private and secure.
● Auth1/Auth2: These are authentication credentials.
● Tax: Refers to applicable taxes according to Dominican regulations, usually Azul helps configure this in the merchant profile.

👉 These data are obtained from the portal or through Azul support.

Paste integration data in LobbyPMS:

  1. Go to Settings > Payment Gateways
     
  2. Make sure you have the option Connect an online payment system active

    It is possible that to activate this option the system will ask you to activate a default payment method for the booking engine. If you do not know how to do it, visit this manual: Activate payment method for booking engine
     
  3. Click on the add icon in the Azul option


     
  4. You must paste Merchant ID, Private Key, Auth1/Auth2 and Tax obtained in your Azul account

  1. To finish, choose how to Associate to a payment method, you can also leave the default option. Then click on “Save changes”

Activate Azul for the booking engine:

  1. Go to Settings > Booking Engine > Confirmation and payments Make sure you have the option Connect an online payment system active
     
  2. Select the preferred payment method for your reservations: Payment of the first night or payment of a percentage of the total reservation


     
  3. Activate Azul and click on save changes



    You can access the booking engine and perform a test reservation to verify that the Azul button is active when completing the reservation.
